Escorts complaining about customers?

271751746_01d1ac8b33.jpg

There's an ongoing thread in an adult-themed internet forum wherein Personal Service Providers (PSPs) air out their complaints about clients and callers.

Here are a few of the typical complaints (I have copied the message verbatim, complete with whatever mistakes in spelling, grammar, and punctuation):

"Beware of him, he called last month nagpabook ng 9am @ Metrowalk..He will ask you ano suot mo kase nagpapark siya. Itetext nya sayo kung anong suot nya, paglapit mo sa tinutukoy niyang itchura niya "hindi pala siya un" so napahiya lang ako..."

"from Fairview, nagpunta ako ng Robinsons Manila within 45minutes.

I apologize to the number of my readers who are not familiar with the Filipino language. Unfortunately, trying to translate these complaints accurately into English is giving me a headache. But just trust me that these complaints have the following broad strokes:

1. Callers don't show up

2. Callers don't confirm the schedule

3. And if they do show up, they negotiate the deal

I am aghast when callers attempt to hoodwink the PSP. It is definitely unfair to the PSP if the caller has no intention of honoring the deal. There is opportunity lost. There is the cost of transportation.

I have no problem with PSPs complaining about such customers. But I have a problem when these PSPs begin posting the mobile phone numbers of the callers!

I know that there are bozos who call a PSP and discuss the terms but who have no intention of availing the PSP's services. I know that there a losers who arrange for a face-to-face meeting merely to see the PSP. I know that there are pathetic tightwads who think that by having a PSP show up, they already have leverage to negotiate for a mark down by forcing the PSP to accept any amount to recoup her transportation cost.

In a trade that deals with hundreds of individuals of different levels of maturity, intelligence, and social stratum, one is expected to meet a few idiots. In some of the call centers I deal with, they have encountered drunks, addicts, arrogant know-it-alls, people who are mentally-challenged, people who call because they are just lonely. Call centers know that they'll meet strange characters. Experienced agents know how to sniff them out and how to deal with them. Call centers and customer service centers have a process of marking a caller "for special handling." And yes, sometimes they share the info among other call centers, especially when it comes to certain government VIPs or haughty media personalities. But this information is handled like delicate antiques. And it is never divulged publicly.

Besides, are we sure that the PSP is telling the truth? She may be launching a smear campaign on her boyfriend. She may also be a moron. One of the allegedly nefarious callers chimed in a response, saying that he never committed to a face-to-face meeting. Well, damage done. Once the first salvo has been launched, it is difficult to cleanup the fallout.

I don't have a sure-fire solution to this dilemma. PSPs may email each other. Or send each other SMS. Or maybe she can get someone to be her bodyguard. Or maybe she can course all negotiations with a handler. But publicizing mobile phone numbers in an internet forum site reeks of arrogance and grand-standing. PSPs who divulge client information---or even that of potential clients---are, in my mind, devoid of decorum and should be avoided like STDs.

I suspect that some of my male readers will email me, asking who these escorts are so they can be avoided. I have a better approach: get an alternate prepaid mobile phone number. And use another email account when dealing with PSPs. That's what I do.

A mutual respect for time and social status is important in this trade. Another informative article B-man!
